Ralph
Franklin
It's a perfect wonder I still have teeth; Ralph rocks that guitar and
a few times it's come uncomfortably close. By this 1994, Ralph had become a respected
musician, his pulsing repertoire ranging from a pulsing deep beat to light floating
butterflies. Whenever I have written lyrics for the Layabouts, Ralph is usually the
defining element as to whether the evolving song will take flight.
During this era, Ralph began to write songs in earnest, evidenced by "Police Reaction" and "Johannesburg".
