Keeping the Record Straight

This is in direct response to the letters from Rita Morris and Eva L. Brooks, that were printed in the January 28 issue of HTW.

As concerns the circumstances surrounding the illegal Arnold F. Morris
citizenship, please note: When he arrived in Honduras (from Florida, via Belize) he was a criminal-in-flight from a 26-count Indictment for commercial fraud and money-laundering. That Indictment had been issued against him by the United States Federal Court, Middle District of Florida, in Tampa. That Indictment is still outstanding againstMorris.

It is true that the former Roatan Judge of Letters, Fernando Azcona Schrenzel left the island for the purpose of taking a Notary Public examination. He failed that examination. It is also true that he was fired for corrupt activities involving his collaboration with Morris, Southwind Properties, and others. This is the way Honduras This Week reported that event:

          "Files of Corrupt Judges in Hands of Special Prosecutor

The special government prosecutor for corruption has received the files of 36 judges who were fired for alleged acts of corruption, the daily La Prensa reported Wednesday (Oct. 8). Currently, Honduras has 325 jueces de paz (justices of the peace) and 208 jueces de letras (judges of letters).

"La Prensa stated that more than 1,300 accusations have been made against judges for irregularities and acts of corruption during the Reina administration.

"Among the 36 judges (removed) is Fernando Azcona (former Juez de Letras for the Bay Islands), nephew of former president Jose Schrenzel Hoya."

When removed from his judgeship, Azcona was serving in a dual capacity, both as Judge of Letters and Registrar of Propriedad Inmueble, (read:
real-estate) which easily enabled him to easily substitute fraudulent replacement documents for the legal ones in the Property Registry.

Although Azcona was fired, both Supreme Courts serving during the regimes
of Presidents Reina and Flores Facusse steadfastly refused to order Judicial
Reviews of Azcona's criminal wrongdoings. It is hoped that the new Court
being seated with President Ricardo Maduro will see fit to look into this gross and glaring oversight.

As concerns the fraudulently obtained Honduras citizenship, purchased by
Arnold Morris and arranged by Rita Morris and Rafael Callejas, et al, it
was cancelled by President Carlos Facusse during the last few months of his tenure, and was reported in the May 5. 2001, edition of Honduras This Week, to-wit:

"An official of the Ministry of Government and Justice stated that Morris'
naturalization papers were canceled at the request of the U.S. Embassy in
Tegucigalpa due to the fact that they were fraudulently obtained. The U.S.
government is currently seeking his extradition.

"Morris, who lives on Roatan, obtained Honduran citizenship in 1992 during
the administration of President Rafael Leonardo Callejas, despite having a
criminal record.

"In related news, La Prensa reported Thursday that the U.S. Embassy has
canceled the visas of Morris' Honduran wife Rita and his stepson, Emilio
Silvestri. (Honduras This Week)"

I shall not test the patience of the readers to the extent of making specific rebuttals to each and every canard put forth in the above-cited letters from Rita Morris and Eva L. Brooks, and printed in the January 28, 2002, edition of Honduras This Week. Suffice it to say that the record speaks for itself.

Anyone who is seriously interested in the facts surrounding Roatan's resident
fugitive-in-flight and his associates, who are hard put to offer their false and
exculpatory testimony in his behalf, can find unarguable printed evidence
in this website - and in the public media - as excerpted above.

I stand on the record as it exists, and urge the Corte Suprema de Justicia to
order Judicial Review of the Morris-Silvestri/Azcona Schrenzel property
crimes. Firing a crooked judge accomplishes nothing unless his misdeeds
are reviewed and redressed. Simple justice demands this.

I respectfully request my rightful and long-delayed day in court and restoration of my stolen properties.
